Minecraft updates are normally an exciting time for players, however this one was actually developed entirely by artificial intelligence. This isn't the first time that we've observed AI being used to play around with the sandbox game but this is the first time that AI has been used to create exciting and game-changing new features instead.
SystemZee who you might remember from their excellent ocean redesign, decided it would be funny to let an AI design an update that their team would implement. Things get a lot more crazy after the initial suggestion (below) regarding a crafting table.
If a wishing well which gives players an item randomly when you throw in an emerald is good but our favorite is the Lava Bow - which shoots an bow that releases lava blocks. While this sounds good, it's actually a game-ending weapon that can accidentally destroy the entire area - as well as your computer - in minutes. It's pretty, however. We all would like to touch lava isn't it?
Oh and Minecraft: World Domination is the title of the update. Try not to think about that for too long because it's less of an Freudian slip and more of a declaration of intent, just as the AI came up with the same name. This name ties in with some of the most dangerous and disturbing new additions to this fake update. Your toaster might be plotting against you when it stares at you with a funny look.
