This is pretty cool. We're sure that the responsible parties won't be mentioning the likes of Lego and Minecraft in their press materials therefore we'll need to do it in this article. The idea behind it is simple: Blokify is an iOS application that offers a 3D world where you can build models using cubes- things like castles, spacecrafts, and pirate ships. After you've finished you can choose to print your models at your home or in the cloud by using 3D Systems' Cubify service (using their ProJet660PRo). The iPhone/iPad app is free, but additional parts and kits are available for an in-app purchase. 979uc Professional printing is available as well, with prices determined by the size of the set you design. The App Store link is below. We played around with it earlier today -- it's fun and dynamic, even if we aren't quite ready to drop the extra cash needed to make our little castle an actual reality.
