Minecraft has just become more delicious thanks to the introduction of Minecraft honeyblocks to Java. The blocky addition comes in the most current snapshot for Java's upcoming 1.15 update, and already has a ton of useful applications, such as fall damage reduction, and also creating an immense conveyor belt of golden stickiness.
In the new update you can also create an attractive honeycomb block not to be confused with the honey block itself. You can make this delicious treat using four honeycombs from the crafting menu. If your ideal gingerbread house isn't within reach, you can design your own Minecraft home built of honeycomb blocks - there's no stopping you now. If you're wondering where all this honey is coming from then our Minecraft bees guide will teach you everything you must learn about the process of creating honey, so you can make use of honey for good or evil.
Other Minecraft mobs aren't fond of walking on honey blocks, so they'll stay away from honey blocks if they can - this includes animals, monster mobs and Minecraft village dwellers. Here's our guide to how to make honey blocks in Minecraft and all the benefits you can get from the latest building block.
How to make Minecraft honey blocks
Honey blocks can be made in Minecraft using four honey bottles. A bottle that is empty can be used to make honey bottles.
How to use the minecraft honey block
There are many ways to use honey blocks in Minecraft. Here's a list of everything we know about honey blocks:
Reduces fall injuries Honey blocks dramatically reduce fall damage (80 percent). Speed: Running across honey blocks will slow your speed. Sticks to other blocks: A honey block sticks to all blocks, including Minecraft slime blocks. Reduces jump height. It is still possible to grace the air but not as high as a normal block. Transportation Honey blocks can be used to construct a conveyor belt. A honey block will adhere to a piston when it is pushed by a piston. This is also the case for mobs.
If you put a honey block in an 1x1 hole, any unsuspecting mob that enters it won't be able to jump out thanks to the gooey substance at their feet , even in the event that the honey block is concealed by carpet or a trap door. There are a myriad of possible ways to fool our friends using this method however, it's also a great way to prevent mobs like villagers and livestock from escaping and wandering about when we need to keep them in one place.

Honey's fun doesn't end there. Many inventive players have designed Minecraft parkour maps with honey blocks. They use the block's sticky properties to slide across the walls of amber at high speeds.

Honeycomb blocks and honeyblocks are also useful for the cosmetically inclined - they can be used to masquerade as lampshades, headlights, glowing embers, and beer and to open a secret doorway to your base, as demonstrated by Minecraft YouTuber Grian.
Honey blocks also are a perfect match with slime blocks to make machines that, thanks to their mixed materials, surpass the standard 12 block limit for pushing pistons.
