International Creators Included Bars And Melody

Tubecon is a community-driven international YouTube event that brings together YouTube creators and their viewers in arena-sized public events. Tubecon was first held in August 2014 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. It was attended by more than 5,000 people. 1 Tubecon has been held 25 times across four countries (Finland Sweden Spain Switzerland and Switzerland) and has drawn over 120,000 people to the events. [2]



Tubecon has seen a dramatic rise in its popularity over the years as has the YouTube and the online influencer community. The biggest Tubecon events have attracted over 18,000 people and featured more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon's program for events was developed in collaboration with local online influencers. It includes multiple program elements like Meet & Greets and Tubecon Video Awards, panels, and concerts. In 2018, Tubecon will be held in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The story of Tubecon began when two Finnish creators decided to create a safe and fun event for their viewers. [4]



Performers[edit]

2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 took place at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5] with over 10,000 visitors.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12-13 August 2016. The second day was completely sold out. The event was attended by 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began on January 6, 2016 in Stockholm with more than 4500 attendees. Wzjxzz They also conducted an autumn tour that started on September 9 in Vasteras, and ended on the 10th December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators visited eight cities. In 2016, more than 15,000 people visited Tubecon Sweden events.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon took place in Germany on February 20th, 2016 in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also offered.



2017[edit]



The Finnish event took place in Hartwall Arena between 12-13 August and attracted a crowd of around 17,500. [8]



Spain[edit]



The first ever Tubecon Spain event was held at Madrid's wiZink Centre on February 18. The event was attended by more than 4,000 attendees and more than 200 Spanish creators. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation, 29 December. [10] Around 2,500 visitors attended the event. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held for the first time in Messukeskus Helsinki on 17-18 August. The theme for the event was "My Story". Around 200 Finnish YouTubers participated in the event. Tubecon hosted also international creators from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Thailand in the first ever Tubecon World Meet. International creators included Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart and his alias Paint, Softpomz and MrTrashPack. The event also introduced a brand new TubeCity concept, where different genres like gaming, beauty and fashion and food, included their own blocks within the city-like event space. In a fresh initiative, Tubecon also introduced Tube Academy as an educational track that is open to creators and anyone wanting to know more about video making and the industry. [12]
