Question that was asked:
- Was earth the center of the universe or was the sun...& We know the planets move on the ecliptic but how do they move?
- So we know the study of astronomy is older than people ; unfortunately writing is not (womp womp) and because of that we don't have historical information that explains archeological structures. Astronomers can only guess, for example some structures like:
- Stonehenge (a large structure of massive stones in the middle of a field) no one knows how they might have built them and what the true purpose of their positioning. All that can be guessed is that some of the placement served at indicators of summer and winter solstice based on the the sunrise.

Greeks and the stars
- the greeks proposed that the heaven was Geocentric to the earth.
- later in Astronomy Astronomers tried to describe the motion of the heavens as the spheres rotating on an axis while moving around the earth called ...uniform circular motion

Eudoxus devised a system of 27 nested spheres that rotated about different axes to produce a mathematical description about motion about the universe.
Aristotle added to that idea but his system extended to 55 spheres turning at different angles and distances from earth. Also teaching that earth had to be the center of the universe based on the motion on which the spheres rotate around earth.
