Minecraft creator Mojang plans spin-off game

Mojang the maker of Minecraft is launching an spin-off game that is based on the block-building game.
Called Minecraft: Story Mode, it is an episodic game set in the familiar Minecraft world, but introduces some new characters into the setting.

The game is produced by Telltale Games which has produced many other episodic titles.
The first episode will be available on consoles, computers and Macs in 2015, and also on Android devices.
It is unknown what the experience will be. Mojang has released a short game for browsers called Info Quest II to explain what it could look like.
In a blogpost, Mojang said the game will be developed with the help of the Minecraft community.
It aimed to assure players that Story Mode would not be like the bloody and violent games Telltale has released before. Telltale's most recent games include Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and titles based upon Game of Thrones and the zombie thriller The Walking Dead.
"Telltale's game will be similar in its tone to Minecraft itself," said Mojang, "though it's a totally original take inspired by our game."
Mojang has released a new version of its Scrolls card-based magic fighting game. Soon after, the news about Story Mode is out.
