Safety is the first priority. Play is the core of all we do. Yes, safety is paramount. To accomplish this, Mojang Studios enlist the assistance of moderators, who are dedicated to maintaining Minecraft's warm and welcoming environment.
This is something we've been doing for quite some time, however, we've recently added new moderation actions to the Bedrock version of Minecraft which we'll be rolling out in the months to come. These tools are designed to ensure that all our players can continue feeling as secure as they can in Minecraft and Realms on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10, iOS, and Android.
So, what's new? Minecraft moderators can expel players who don't follow our Community Guidelines when they send online messages using our services (Realms) or Featured Servers, or when communicating online via signposts and books. Of course, the content of single player games is not moderated.
Moderators currently can hand out permanent bans that cover all versions of Minecraft (except Minecraft Dungeons) in order to target the most severe offenses, meant to cause harm to other players. We are also working on introducing temporary bans for minor violations.
When a user is banned and is banned, they will receive a notification letting them know they've been banned, and information on how they can cancel their Realms subscription. For more details on serious violations and guidelines for what to do if you are banned, please visit the Minecraft Help Center.
We are introducing these tools to ensure that our Community Guidelines are implemented. This will allow us to provide an enjoyable, positive environment for our players. And there's more to be added. We are constantly looking at new ways to create a safer space for all, and will keep you informed on the developments. Please be kind to one another in the interim.
