A Minecraft map can be basically whatever you want it be. One of the greatest benefits of Sandbox gaming is the flexibility it gives you to create amazing Minecraft builds, or just to spend a lot of time mining every single block.
Due to a combination of the playground it offers and the player base's creativity it is not uncommon to see amazing things. Some projects take longer than others though, and for this one we're looking at a Minecraft city that required 2,400 hours of construction over 2.5 years. Stockalicious That's an amazing commitment and has been considered to be among the top Minecraft cities we've seen.
It's not the first time the Minecraft map has been posted on Reddit. The last time was in July 2021. "Since my last posting the city has nearly increased in size by nearly 11 sq km when we include all the roads network and 40-50 sq km if we take into account the land that has been cleared." Below is an image that showcases a portion of the city. You can view it from the Redditor.
While the player is flying around, Minecraft is struggling to load all the details and buildings. Alongside the buildings are roads with markings and a small area that appears to be an electric grid and even multi-level highways and a train track. There are reportedly more than 22,000 buildings in the city too. It would make a fantastic map for a hide-and-seek game. But it's not available for download.
