Play is at the core of everything we do, but safety comes first. Yes, safety comes first. To this end, Mojang Studios enlist the help of moderators who are dedicated to maintaining Minecraft's warm and welcoming environment.
This is work we've been doing for quite some time, however, we've recently added new moderation actions to the Bedrock version of Minecraft that we will be rolling out in the coming months. These tools are meant to help ensure that our players are as safe as possible within Minecraft and Realms on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10, iOS, and Android.
So, what's new? Minecraft moderators may ban players who do not adhere to our Community Guidelines when sending online messages using our services (Realms) or Featured Servers. They also may ban players from communicating online using signposts or books. The content of single-player games are not controlled.

Moderators currently hand out permanent bans, which cover all versions of Minecraft (except Minecraft Dungeons) in order to target the most severe offenses, meant to cause harm to others. We are also working on introducing temporary bans for less serious offenses.
If users are banned and is banned, they will receive a notification letting them know that they were banned, along with details on how they can cancel their Realms subscription. For more details regarding the severity of offenses and guidelines on what to do if you are banned, visit the Minecraft Help Center.
By introducing these new tools, we aim to ensure that our Community Guidelines are enforced and, in turn, help us provide a positive and enjoyable experience during our games. There's more to come.
