Minetest is a open source, free and free of charge voxel game engine, inspired initially by Minecraft it's slowly becoming larger and better with plenty of games that are available for it. A new version is in the works with Minetest 5.4.0 which is now a release Candidate and a time at which they'll need as many users as possible to try it out and make sure that it works as expected.
In the past, when Minetest 5.0 released in 2019, they added an in-game UI to download games and mods. While it worked it was improved it with every release. However, the dependency system was a major issue. A mod would require another one, and so on. Finding them all was a hassle but perhaps no longer. The 5.4 release features a brand new UI flow to download mods and games along with dependency resolution, the ability to update all, as well as download queues.

It makes it much simpler and faster. It allows you to customize your Minetest experience. Want to cram every possible mod you can into the basic Minetest game? It's worth a try. You might also like to play a whole conversion game. There's that too.
This could be a great way to get me to play more Minetest!
