This year I completed my undergraduate studies and graduated with a first in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.
Unfortunately, due to refurbishment I was not able to graduate in McEwan hall. McEwan hall was closed for renovations, so I only got to see it during my second year Probability exam. It was not a great time to stare at the ceiling's murals.
We utilized Usher Hall as a model, as it is where the majority of orchestras and chamber music events are held.
We were placed in the school for Engineering because of the small size of the informatics class. FORUMS We were awarded two honorary degree speeches as a result. I forgot the engineer's speech. The Computer Science speaker got the deal to develop minecraft for the X-box.
It's a good bet.
One of the most unique aspects about the University of Edinburgh is that we don't have a mortarboard cap. Instead, all graduates wear the same hat. The vice-chancellor taps every student on the head as they walk across the stage.
Fun-fact: Piers Sellers offered to take the hat into space. Spaceships can explode (and the hat is kind of important) an emblem of the university was launched into space and later embroidered on the hat.
I was booed on my head with an oversized space-hat.
I was lucky enough to to get enough tickets for both my grandparents and parents. My family had visited just a few weeks earlier and we walked together throughout Ireland and the highlands.
Jammy received a free morning and I had one more ticket. Jam-Jam, the father of polar bears was present at my graduation.
