Throughout the play, Romeo and Juliet, there are a lot of different issues brought up, one of the major ones is the relationship between children and parents. This is what I am going to be analysing; the relationship between Juliet and her parents, Lord and Lady Capulet.

[Point1]
If the two parents had had better relationships with their daughter, Juliet, it could have changed the way in which everything ended, and for the better.
I think that maybe if Juliet had had a stronger relationship with her Father she could have told him that there was something between the two. She could have told him or Lady Capulet about the two before Paris' proposal and before Tybalt's death; which is when Lord Capulet was actually okay with the two together.
I think that this stronger bond could have been even useful in Act 3, Scene 5 when Juliet refuses to marry Paris. If she had had a better relationship with her mother, Lady Capulet, one like she had with The Nurse, she may have felt able to tell her Mother about it, even when it was too late to do so with her Father.

[Point2]
The main reason that the relationship between Mother and Daughter is lacking, I would say id due to Lady Capulet and how she raised Juliet.

[Point3]- (Will either get rid of this or add it as extra bits of point 1 or 2).
Shakespeare has many ways of giving certain messages to the audience, one that I am going to be focussing in on, is how a significant event in someone's life can change their behaviour and perspective of things. One way in which he incorporates this into his play is through Lord Capulet, Juliet's Father. At the beginning of the play Shakespeare introduces Lord Capulet in Act 1 Scene 1, as a softer, more understanding and fun-loving character, hosting parties etc.. He, at first, doesn't mind who Juliet is with and is okay with her to follow her heart and make herself happy. He says to Tybalt "...let him alone..." when he comes running up to him, informing Capulet that they are together. Lord Capulet just brushes it off his shoulder. This implies that he doesn't actually mind the two together; he doesn't mind if there is something between them. He also said that Romeo was a "well governed youth". I think this shows relevance to the relationship between the two characters, Lord Capulet and Juliet, because I think she could have told him about her relationship with Romeo, resulting in a change in the outcome; them both dying.
