Horseland Script Season 1 Episode 1: You Can't Judge a Girl by Her Limo

Scene 1 (Horseland Gate)

Shep: *barks* Welcome to Horseland. This is one fine place to call home.
Teeny: Yes, Shep. This place is really great! *sniffles*
Shep: Well, here at Horseland, dogs, pigs, cats and horses can all talk. The thing is: the humans can't understand us. When they're around us, all they hear is: "Meow!"
Angora: "Oink, oink, oink."
Teeny: "Neigh!" *sniffles*
Angora: Teeny, no one's ever gonna mistake you for a horse. You look exactly like what you are.
Shep: You can't always judge someone by what they look like, Angora. Take Sarah for example. Remember when she first came to Horseland?
Angora: Mmm, yes. Pity about that.
Shep: Whatever you think. It just goes to show ya: don't be quick to judge.

Scene 2 (Horseland Valley)

Shep: *barks*
Molly: Hey, Will! Where is this place?
Bailey: Yeah, cousin! Where are you taking us?
Will: Trust me!

Alma: Que lindo!
Will: Yes, sure is beautiful. Told you it would be worth it.
Alma: You can see Horseland, and the whole ranch!
Sarah: It is beautiful, isn't it? How did you ever find this place, Will?
Will: Jimber and I stumbled on it, long time back.
Jimber: *whinnies*
Will: *chuckles* We come here ever once in a while.
Scarlet: *neighs*

Sarah: What's the matter, Scarlet?
Scarlet: *neighs* *sniffles*
Sarah: What's got you spooked? I don't see anything. Probably just the wind, huh girl?
Shep: *sniffles* Mmm, you're onto something Scarlet.
Scarlet: Thanks, Shep. I'm glad someone understands me.
Sarah: I can't see anything wrong up there. I know we don't speak the same language, Scarlet. But I know you're telling me there is something wrong out there.
Scarlet: *whinnies*

Bailey: Why is Sarah taking so long with Scarlet?
Alma: *chuckles* Sometimes I think Sarah speaks horse. She has 'the gift', you know?
Sarah: Something's bugging Scarlet but I don't know what.
Molly: She keeping secrets from you again? *laughs*
Bailey: Hey, don't feel bad Sarah. Nobody tells me anything either.
Will: You guys shouldn't laugh, you know. Sarah has a way with horses.
Alma: Es verdad! It's true! Remember the first day at Horseland?
Sarah: Oh, come on! It wasn't a big deal.
Alma: The first time we saw you Sarah, it didn't start out very well. And it only got worse.

Scene 3 (Horseland courtyard back in time)

Bailey (voiceover): Man, it was a big deal! Everybody knew you were coming.
Molly (voiceover): 'Scuse me? Not Alma and me! No one gave us the 411.

Molly: What's going on around here?
Alma: Didn't we just do the grooming and cleaning?
Molly: The good news is the arena's empty, come on! Let's do some practicing.
Will: Uh, not so fast! You're gonna help me clean up now. Baileys mom and dad want this place looking extra good today.
Molly: Why? What's so special about today?
Will: New girl coming. Now get busy raking.
Molly: *groans* Sure, that's why we came to Horseland. To rake dirt.
Alma: Hey, Bailey. What's with the camera?
Bailey: Yeah, the camera's dads idea. To shoot a video of the lessons, for the new girl.
Molly: Just who is this new girl? The presidents daughter?
Bailey: Close enough. Heard of Sarah Whitney? Her dad's got bank. He's one of the richest guys in the whole state!
Chloe: What you say Bailey?
Zoey: A rich girl? One of thé Whitney's?
Bailey: Yeah, Zoey. And since my mom and dad own this place...
Zoey: Yes...?
Bailey: They want us to be real nice because... this could be good for Horseland. So you two would better behave yourselves!
Chloe: Oh, we will!
Zoey: Hey, we know money.
Bailey: Make yourself useful and help clean up.
Molly: Great, all we need is another girl like them.

Scene 4 (Horseland stables back in time)

Calypso: Angora, is this more of your catty gossip?
Angora: Very funny, I got it straight from the horses mouth. Richest girl in the known universe. That's what Bailey said.
Chili: You know, Pepper. Her new horse is gonna be a real thoroughbred.
Pepper: With papers, of course. *chuckles* Oh, at last! Somebody we can talk to, Chili!
Button: You can have all the papers in the world, and it's not gonna make you a better jumper.

Will: Hey, guys! Over here! Let's get these horses groomed!
Molly: And just when I was starting to enjoy raking.

Scene 5 (Horseland arena back in time)

Molly: I can't believe we're doing all this extra work cause her dad's rich. My dad's a dentist. No one cleans my stable!
Alma: My dad manages this place, but nobody does my work for me!
Bailey: Hey, my dad owns this place and I don't get any breaks either.
Molly: Well, I don't mind doing our own chores, but why are we doing everyone else's?
Alma: What happened to Chloe and Zoey? Shouldn't they be helping?
Bailey: Agh, those two always disappear when there's dirty work. They wouldn't wanna soil their designer duds!

Shep: I haven't seen so much elbow grease in a dogs age.
Button: You'd think royalty was coming!
Calypso: What you figure this new horse is going to be like?
Aztec: Like Chili and Pepper. A high-stepping snob.
Angora: Ooh... sounds like the fur is gonna fly. And I've got front row tickets!

Scene 6 (Horseland arena back in time)

Alma: There, that's it. Listo.
Bailey: When the lessons are done, we oughta let the new girl take all this equipment down by herself.
Molly: I'm all for that!

Will: Sounds like the new arrival is here!
Angora: Mmm!
Molly: Check out that ride!
Bailey: Wow! That limo's bigger than our barn!
Molly: She's even richer than we imagined!

Molly: That's too much car for one girl.
Bailey: She probably has her whole prep school in there.
Chloe: Zoey! Look at that limo! It's bigger than ours! She's so like us!
Zoey: I know, Chloe. The day just keeps getting better!
Calypso: Would ya look at that.
Button: Pretty fancy trailer for one horse.
Shep: Look, just because the trailer's nice doesn't mean the horse is bad.
Angora: Well... At least things are getting interesting around here.
Pepper: *chuckles* Finally Chili. A horse worthy of our friendship.
Molly: Here she comes!

Bailey: Wow.
Angora: How do I look?
Chloe: How do I look?
Chili: How do I look?
Molly: We are so out-numbered now.
Aztec: Phew! Wow, she's gorgeous!
Sarah: Here we are Scarlet. What do you think?
Scarlet: *neighs*
Sarah: I think we're gonna like it here.
Chloe: Hi, I'm Chloe, welcome!
Zoey: And I'm Zoey, double-welcome!
Chloe: That's a sweet riding habit.
Zoey: Swalinski, right?
Chloe: That is classic vermilion.
Zoey: Love your hair.
Chloe: Heidendal, right?
Zoey: And your boots, I have those in brown!
Chloe: Are they a size 6?
Zoey: My shoes are size 6!
Sarah: Wow, I'm Sarah. Thank you for all that, but I'm looking forward to meeting everyone here.

Bailey: Looks like they're hitting it off pretty good.
Molly: What you expect, Bailey?
Sarah: Hi, I'm Sarah! It's my first day.
Molly: My name's Molly...
Bailey: Bailey...
Alma: Alma.
Sarah: Um, okay...
Will: I'm Will. Don't pay any attention to them.
Chloe and Zoey: Come on, Sarah. We'll show you around, we'll show you where everything is.
Molly: You see that? "Hi, I'm Sarah! My chivalry is so Europe. My outfit's all designer."

Scene 7 (Horseland canteen back in time)

Teeny: Food! This is good! Mmm!
Sarah: *sniffs* Mmm, smells good.
Alma: The grilled cheese is the best. Oh, but probably not as good as you're used to.
Chloe: Sarah, there you are!
Zoey: What are you doing? Come with us!
Bailey: See that? Cut right in front of us!

Scene 8 (Horseland stables back in time)

Scarlet: So, you like it here at Horseland?
Calypso: Yeah, sure.
Button: You bet.
Aztec: Why wouldn't we like it here! *snorts*
Scarlet: Oh! I didn't mean that, I only meant...
Pepper: Hey, Scarlet! And never mind those old nags. I'm Pepper.
Chili: And I'm Chili. You can talk to us!
Aztec: Talk to the tail.
Angora: Go Pepper! Go Chili! It's a cat fight, oh yeah!
Teeny: But why are our friends being so mean to that nice horse?
Shep: Because Teeny, they already made up their minds about her. You know, sometimes people and horses can be as stubborn as mules.
Teeny: I still don't get it. Mmm.

Sarah: Hi! Do you guys know where I should put my things?
Bailey: Any open spot's good.
Sarah: Thanks!
Molly: But, uh... That one's not open.
Sarah: Oh, okay. How 'bout this one?
Alma: There was a girl using it last summer. And, you know. She might come back.
Sarah: Right, got it.
Bailey: I think there oughta be something... Down there on the end.
Sarah: Yeah, I understand...
Teeny: Oh, Shep! Isn't there something we can do?
Shep: Sometimes humans can be meaner than snakes.
Angora: Ahum! They can be meaner than cats!

Chili: Stick with us, Scarlet, and you'll fit in just fine.
Pepper: Right! You don't wanna hang out with them.
