This is cory, he has been surfing on the coasts of san diego his whole life. He grew up in san diego on the coast, he had a rough childhood. His parents divorced when he was 6 and ever since he found his calm in surfing on the beach. And his dad moved to new york city, and his mom stayed in san diego. So he stayed with her to achieve his dream in surf-
boarding. when he was 13 he quit surfing for a while and started smoking and drinking. and he got into a bad group of kids while at school. All they did was ditch school and get arrested. When he turned 16 his mom got a very bad disease, and he completely stopped going to school at that point. He was sitting at home and talking to his mom and apologizing for all the things he did. And on her last day they're convo went like this “Cory remember when you were 8”-’yea mom,why?”-”you used to surf all the time back then and you strived to be a professional all you did was surf all day and work on your from and how good you were”-”yea and why does that matter right now”-”when i'm gonna pass away i want you to keep striving for that and get your head back into the surfing game and turn into a professional, i'll be watching you from heaven”-”mom believe me i'll turn into a professional for you”. And than after that she passed. So after that he ran out of the hospital he grabbed his surfboard and started getting at it. He still had some of skill from when he was a kid. He was homeless for over 5 months until he found his friends from when he was a young surfer, And he started living with them. He dropped out of school quit smoking and drinking. He works for his friends skate/surf shop. Started earning money and started paying his friends rent so he can live with them. And three hard years later he went to a surfing competition, he got second place but sponsors were rolling in and he was getting known around the world and know he lives with his friends on the coastline of florida and all they do is surf and represent their sponsors. very time he surfs he thanks his mom for the support and getting him back into surfing
