Notes

As I was walking through the dirt trail, I saw many glorious things that you could not find in any city. The trees stood tall all around us as we walked, and went out for what must have been miles, all towering high into the sky. The many thick branches of the trees covered us in a giant leaf blanket that only let some sunlight leak into it. Living in these magnificent trees were also many birds, whose songs echoed in the distance as we continued to walk. The ground was covered with grasses and logs and bushes, and I could hear the splash of the waterfall in the distance. Although all this was very beautiful, there was one problem.
Before the trip, I bought some strawberry scented hand lotion to bring with me, and although it smelt like freshly picked strawberries this morning when I put it on, it now smells like a mixture of sweat and rotten berries, which is probably really attractive to insects. I think that because I had every gnat and mosquito flying around me like vultures circling a dead animal.
The next thing I know was that I was basically mosquito food after that point. The gnats didn’t make it any better though, humming around my face and crawling all over me in groups like there was some kind of insect party on my body. They had me itching and scratching all over my body.
