Firenze
Firenze adalah makhluk setengah kuda setengah manusia atau sering disebut dengan centaur. Firenze merupakan laki-laki bukan wanita atau pun waria.
Firenze merupakan nama sebuah kota di Toscana, Italia. Dia pernah menyelamatkan Harry dari Voldemort. Firenze membawa Harry di atas punggung kudanya, dan menghadapi penentangan oleh centaurus lainnya di hutan tersebut. Mereka menganggap tindakan Firenze membiarkan Harry menungganginya adalah tanda bahwa ia merendahkan diri di hadapan kaum manusia, seakan-akan ia adalah bagal biasa.
Suatu hari ia diangkat oleh Kepala Sekolah yaitu Albus Dumbledore sebagai Guru Ramalan di Hogwarts untuk menggantikan Sybill Trelawney. Sebelumnya, Trelawney telah dipecat oleh Dolores Umbridge, setelah itu nasib firenze tidak baik. Ia telah diusir dari kawanan centaurus akibat menyetujui permintaan tolong Dumbledore untuk turut berjuang melawan Lord Voldemort.
Sampai akhirnya firenze menjadi staff pengajar tetap di Hogwarts. Ia berbagi tugas dengan Profesor Trelawney yang kembali diminta mengajar. Trelawney memandang situasi ini dengan penuh ketidaksukaan.
Alasan sesungguhnya Dumbledore untuk tetap mempertahankan mereka yang dijelaskan kepada Harry, adalah karena ia tidak dapat membiarkan mereka berdua untuk pergi: Trelawney (tanpa disadarinya sendiri) diincar oleh Pelahap Maut karena ramalannya, sementara Firenze tidak memiliki tempat tinggal lagi setelah diusir dari antara para centaurus.
