SEO Tutorial
- Improve Search Results of Google and other search engines.
- Make lists of workds and phrases you want to be found in by Google

KEY THINGS:
- Domain Name
- Page Title (Blue Link of the result) {TRY TO KEEP THE KEYWORD ON THE LEFT} (You can create as many titles for your blogs to get more exposure)
- Give images titles relevant to the pictures
- Title Tags (H1, H2 and H3 tags)
- Create content revolving around keywords in Google Suggestions
- Add some external links and make the important keywords bold.
- Try to have more comments on the blogs.
- YOAST SEO plugin. [Go to Plugins to WP Admin > Add New] (Edit SEO title. Slug, Meta description, Focus Keyword)
- Use this post on facebook and use the titles for facebook in link icon. [HOW IT WILL APPEAR WHEN YOU SHARE THE LINK ON FACEBOOK]
- If you do not want the page to be found in google and select Meta Robots Follow as no show in settings icon of Yoast SEO.
- Can also add upto 4 one-line site links in the meta description to improve the visibility.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WEBSITES AND WEBPAGES
- Websites consists webpages.
- Google shows results for WEBPAGES and not for WEBSITES.

- Keyword research is most important.
- Target Less competitive, body and long tail keywords.

- ON PAGE OPTIMISATION: Placing the keywords at different places on the page where google is looking for them.

- URL Optimisation (readable, keyword rich and short)
- Use hyphens rather than underscore.
- Keep the title 55 characters or under.
- Try to include CTA in the meta description from user point of view. Example: For Insurance companies- Protect your home.
- Keep meta description under 155 characters.

- LINK BUILDING
- Do not use 'Click Here' as anchor text. Try using the keywords. Use synonyms, brand name etc. Do not always use same keywords.
- Use consistent backlinks.
- Focus on Quality links rather than quantity.

BLACK HAT SEO (Paying for Links)
- Not Recommended

Improve website speeds to avoid Google penalties.
- USE GOOGLE PAGE INSIGHTS to test the page code. Use GTMETRIX

Login into the Google Console section.
Look into the Current Status.
Fix the issues immediately in case it does not show the green ticks.
Check the Crawl Errors in the Current Status. This will take you to the URL Errors. Fix Server errors and 404s in case a lot of them.

KEYWORD ANALYSIS IN GOOGLE CONSOLE
- Go to Search Traffic > Search Analytics. Sort the results by position. The keywords with position 11- 15 are there on the second page of Google. Need to apply some SEO techniques to get them to first page.

CONTENT
- Include Practical Tips.
- At least 1890 words long.
- Include Infographics.
- Include target keyword once in 100 words.

BROKEN LINK BUILDING
- Find a page with the external links. Use Google Search "Keyword" + "Helpful Resources"
