The book "Danny The Champion Of The World' is about a boy named Danny who lives in a old caravan with his dad. The reason why Danny only lives with his dad is because when Danny was 4 months old his mother died which set him and his dad all alone with no brothers or sisters. As I was reading I read that when Danny woke up in the caravan his dad disappeared. From this unexpected result he had a heart attack and when outside in the cold with his pajamas waiting for his dad. This is very unusual for someone to do because they could get frostbite or a fever especially in his pajamas. After 2 hours his dad came. When he came home he told Danny his secret of what he was doing which was poaching. The word poaching means that you are going into peoples property without permission and stealing there food. I feel that Danny is very surprised because he always thought of his dad as a nice person not someone who steals. According to the text 0n page 29 it states "I was shocked. My own father a thief! This gentle lovely man!
