Greetings people of the digtal realm, my name is John also known as CodeOne and welcome to my comparison video of the Blue Yeti vs the Blue Raspberry. Ok, 1st off this video is a blind test which means this video is unedited with no EQ and compression with no pop filter. 1st off is the Blue Yeti which is usually the go to mic for most YouTubers and this is what I went for 1st but came to realise this microphone wasn't suited for my needs and I found it too big & heavy & annoying for my gaming setup as I use a 32inch TV screen as my computer monitor which I also recommend using as a monitor if possible, but remember to push it back as far as you can if possible as I have with mine but I'm not gonna get into too much detail into that and you can look up that yourself as this isn't what I'm gonna be talking about in this video. Also I'm hoping this video shows why the Blue Yeti isn't the best microphone for commentary and on-desk vlogging and frontal podcasting and frontal music and is only good for stuff like making nature videos and gun channels if you wish to talk far away while capturing the sounds and ambiance for your videos and is cheaper than the Blue Raspberry in terms of pricing, but if you want a good and cheap microphone for commentary and on-desk vlogging and frontal podcasting music, then I would recommend the Rode Podcaster which supports 18bit48kHz which is a shotgun microphone that has a built-in pop filter which you can point it directly into your mouth and is not so much in the way as the Blue Yeti and if you want a comparison video of the Rode Podcaster vs Blue Yeti, then I suggest you look that up since I do not have a Rode Podcaster and this is just a one off tech video. The Blue Yeti has 16bit48kHz and supports 4 pattern modes which you can look it up on the official Blue website for more infomation which I'll put down in the description. I shall now switch to the Blue Raspberry in 3... 2... 1...

Ok right now I'm using the Blue Raspberry and as you can tell, my voice is a lot more clearer and a lot more crisp and cleaner than the Blue Yeti and in my personal opinion, the Blue Raspberry is the best USB plug & play microphone. It has a built-in Internal Acoustic Diffuser which greatly reduces background noise to produce a clearer sound with the need to edit less of the audio to produce the best results and I'm saying you still need to edit, but a lot less and the Blue Raspberry uses a whopping 24bit at 48kHz which is surprising and outstanding for a tiny USB plug & play microphone. Also I see a lot of people complaining about it being not tall enough for there desks and I can say you can rectify that by getting a taller tripod so it points more into your mouth and if you wish to mount it, then use the Blue Radius 2 or something similar and the best Boom Arm (Although in all honesty I do not know what's the best Boom Arm in 2017 so you may have to look that up for yourself) is the Rode PSA1 but if you're on a budget, then I would recommend a cheaper Boom Arm but you'll possibly be having a less good time. This video is also to get out some info as many at the moment is not aware that the Blue Raspberry is mountable and I'll also leave the official PDF manual by Blue in the description for you to go check it out. Also to finish to video, I would like your feedback and I'm also new to all this and have just begun my YouTube & Twitch hobby and if you can hear any background noise in this video and I will keep quiet for a few seconds for you to judge as I also use this microphone to voice chat with my friends and family but they do not hear any background noise at all and I'm wondering if making a video will be any different. I hope I haven't missed any crucial infomation and if I have, then you can ask me any questions in my discussions page on YouTube which I'll provide a link in the description for convenience and you can also comment on this video down below but chances are is that I will be checking that out less often than the discussions page and the latest videos. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video. This is John from CodeOne signing off and peace out.
