The Teacher is the subject, because the subject performs the actions.
The student is the object, because the object receives the action.
Passive= Object+"To be"+past participle + (by+subject)
Present Simple= The students are taught by the teacher.
Past Simple= were
Future Simple= will be
Present Continuous= are being
Present Perfect= have been
Modal= should be
Active: The boy gave flowers to the girl.
Passive: The girl was given flowers.
Flowers were given to the girl.
-Passive Voice: Reversed Sentence Structure-- OVS: Object, Verb, Subject.
Use if subject is unknown, emphasize object, or if the subject is obvious from the context. BONUS: To shift away from the guilt and blame.
Example: Email because late,
Passive:His wallet was stolen.
Passive: Peter was not chosen for the football team.
