Youth Minutes 14/03/17

Devotion - Hope
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 A time for everything

1. CONNECT GROUPS (Gloria)
- Practical application of sermons on Sundays. We need to be in the same wavelength as the Church
- Also, a breakdown of the 'Following Jesus/Discipleship Training' booklet in classroom setting (Bible, notebook, pen) so we can all have something to teach - Approx. 2 weeks. Practice within the leadership first.
- Nora & Hope can facilitate the activities
- Try your best to make the people in your Group comfortable in being under your care
- We can still reach out to those who are inconsistent in coming to Youth/CG & mix newbies with everyone, instead of having their own group
- Accountability partnership: Beka with Losi & James, Gloria with Hope & Nora, Faith with Dora. Who's in your circle that you can encourage?
- Gloria will send in a structure of what we'll do by Friday & go over it on Sunday, an hour before the Youth arrives (5:00pm). If not, discuss during the Youth Leaders' meeting & catchup for feedback
- GOAL: CG to grow by at least 2 people by the middle of this year. Let's not settle for 2, aim for 10. But invitational - Growth for the English service starts from growth within Youth & CG. Pray for James & Desmond.

2. ENGLISH SERVICE (Beka)
- Launches 2nd April (Beka excused)
- Run by Youth youth focused, same Worship Team
- Ps Peter will probably be here at our next meeting. Start planning from then. Consider ushers, media, invitations for next meeting

3. FUNDING/FUNDRAISING (Faith)
- Faith will look further into it & get funding fast. (A lot of paperwork but it's do-able e.g 'Tag and Empower')
- Proceeds from youth projects can go towards what we need for youth (+ upcoming events)
-1st fundraiser: 9th June (no youth this night). Lisa has asked us to serve at Losi's fundraising dinner & we'll also be performing

4. PREACHING ROSTER (Lenora)
- For Youth, CG & English service

5. ADMIN. (Adora)
- Minutes, keep everyone accountable of what they should be doing (survey, follow up cards, offering etc. )

6. VOLUNTEER TEAMS (James)
- Ministry teams - creative, dance, media, set up food
-Sports' teams another way to grow with the Youth

*Pastor Peter wants a programme for youth this year - We have broken our year down into terms, have themed night's & series. Put this into paper

Please be accountable for each other. Stay at the top of your game with your walk with God, be teachable so we can be stretched (step out of life's normality) & prepared to bring something to the table. Don't come empty-handed. Rely on God for sense of direction, flow with the Spirit so can speak with clarity. Also, discipline & manage your time - rest up as this is a big year for us.
