And it brings joy to my heart to see him get on one knee in front of me to ask such an important question that I had longed for since those days.
It was a bright afternoon and the sun was shining while the flowers blooming all sorts of vibrant colors. We both arrived around the same time to the meeting, and once I went to meet him, he told me, "Have you eaten yet?"
"I had a small snack before I came."
"Well, I'm a bit hungry, so do you want to go out to eat after the meeting?"
"Sure, thank you!"
And so, the Bible conference and Watchtower review passed, and once we finished our prayer, he went to greet my sister and mother, informing them he was going to take me out to eat.
"Aw how nice of you thank you," my mother stated, glad I had met someone like him in my life.
I greeted his family, and as always they were happy to see me and greeted me kindly.
"Hi, how are you? Oh okay, that sounds good. Oh, thank you," his mom told me, full of kindness and humbleness- I wish I was like her.
So he and I drove off to a fancy, expensive restaurant that I had not expected.
"You want to eat here?"
"Yes, come, there's no problem."
We ordered our food, then chatted, laughed, and waited patientely for our food.
Once we were satisfied with dinner, he asked me, "There's something I've been wanting to ask you."
"Well, what is it?" I thought he referred to dessert.
He didn't, instead, he breathed heavily of nervousness and went to my side of the counter and got down on one knee. I felt tears swell in my eyes.
"...Will you marry me?"
"Yes!"
