8. Take a leisurely stroll through the streets of the oldest Chinatown in the world in the Binondo district, which was established in 1594. Great places to eat -- but they're not free.
9. Catch a free concert at Paco Park in Manila. Classical music Friday nights at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
10. Explore the old walled city of Intramuros. You will need to pay an entrance fee to get into some of the attractions like Fort Santiago, but it costs nothing to walk around the district and absorb the atmosphere from a bygone era and to see not one, but two old churches.
