If you are here tonight it is because you occupy a very special place in the hearts of these two wonderful people. You are here because sometime along the way you touch kRISTEN or Josh in a very special way and because we like you

Some of you have gone through great effort to be here..... the farthest coming from over 4800 miles away.





KRISTEN and Josh it is a measure of your goodness and your character that there are so many wonderful people here tonight celebrating with you.



WENDY and I like to thank you all for taking the time, and making the journey to this beautiful spot to help celebrate this marriage.



Butterfly kisses KRISTEN four years old giving them to me. KRISTEN was eight years old when a song came out named butterfly kisses. Soon there after she played it for me. I knew that I was in trouble, because the words in bodied what I would experience being blessed lovely daughter and the journey that we were on.





Journey here worderful every time I come here, the drive envelopes me.

Twists turns ups and downs beauty darkness rays of sunshine and at times mud or even a fallen tree in the way. I understand Josh carries a chainsaw with him to work in the morning just in case the tree should have fallen across the path.







how did we get here?

Just like the beautiful drive to come here today KRISTEN Journey was not a straight path by any means, and it to had a beauty of its own.



A lot like the drive here, definitely some twists and turns….like once around the world……a few bumps in the road…it got dark at times, there was even should I say it got muddy. and a few breakdowns with a scar as a gift to remember.















In my house, …The home that KRISTEN grew up in, there is a plaque. It’s ornamental in nature a decoration for the home however it carries a lot of meaning for me.

Often through their childhood, My children would find themselves on that road less traveled with their parents, and I know that That experience has become part of the fabric of the persons that Kristen has become….”IT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.”





Being the father of the bride this is a very special day for me as well it has given me time to think about the journey that has brought us to this time and place

She had a successful worked side by side w navy seal to retrieve a fouled anchor of 50’ sailboat from the bottom of the med. (not the 1st time she helped brother out of…into and out of a tight spot.) Almost forgot Sheriff repelling A/P bridge W/Brother again.



Kristen Nanned 2 or 3 fam help raise nurture 4/5 baby’s potty train 2/3 Wking on one now

The joy and the heart break this world has to offer to KRISTEN & she facing the challenges, eyes and heart wide-open. so proud!

Life experiences are part of who we are and who we become. A straight road to this time and place was not for KRISTEN. She would not be the wonderful caring loving understanding fatih filled individual she is today without that adventuresome journey to get here. It is all part of the fabric The make up of this wonderful young lady.











Watchful for and meet someone to have adventures with. Hard for dad to watch. Maybe this is the one by the last no never felt right for me. But we usually got a girl he done me wrong song out of it. Caring for orphans and homeless teenagers in Russia, helping with AIDS patients and their babies in Africa, enjoying a home cooked meal on the top of a 55 gallon drum by wonderful man in Vietnam, visiting young childrenRecycling in the trash of the world in India and meditating and Nelson Mandela‘s cell

In our HOME we believe there are no coincidences and that everything happens for reason. Sometimes we don’t like what happens and don’t understand it at the time, but we grow from it and move forward.

Two years ago that one of those bends on the road on KRISTEN’s journey her course changed. She could’ve died from the accident, but she didn’t, and I thank the good Lord for that every day. Instead she got a lucky break. It helped her realize who really loves and cares for Her

And Josh Rodrigo came in to her life forever

Parents always hope and pray that their children will be happy in life. And with Josh, KRISTEN certainly seems happy today. Prayers answered. WENDY and I just love Josh to so much





I first got really know Josh….. I mean really know him… when he came over to my house and we sat on my front deck and he asked me if he could marry my daughter. It was just the two of us and it was a beautiful day and it lasted over two hours, .....maybe a little longer than Josh and hope for,..... but he won me over.











Josh you are a great young man very bright future, and today when KRISTEN said I do it became even brighter.



Would you all please raise your glasses. And join me in celebrating the marriage of these two extraordinary people.



May you be forever, happy filled with the love of the Lord and the love of your family, Secure in the knowledge that the two of you may go through life deeply in love and forever happy regardless of the roads that you travel.
