A titan by the name of Spero, or hope, fell madly in love with Theia and she gave birth to a child named Pistisuis. As a child Pistisuis made a good impression on everyone he met. As he grew up he couldn’t help but to make everyone smile. The fight against Cronos was nearing. When the three cyclopes gave the gods their powers, one of them accidentally dropped an apple. It was a shiny silver apple. Pistisuis saw it and he wanted some sort of power as well, so he grabbed it. He ate the apple and he gained the power of faith.
One day when the gods were planning on how to attack, they couldn’t help but feel that they had no chance against Chronos; but in came Pistisuis and although he was young, he gave them a strategic advantage. He told Zeus about the three monster with fifty heads and a hundred hands. Then, Zeus found this information very helpful. Pistisuis gave the gods a sense of hope, faith. Then came the horrific battle.
After the gods overthrew Cronos, Pistisuis was sent dont on Earth instead of the heavens. Zeus wanted him to give faith to the mortals, faith that the gods will help; and so he did. He grew older and realized that he kept the seeds from the apple that he ate that gave him his power. He decided to plant that on the island of Rhodes. When the tree finally grew, he visited the island and ate apples that sprout from the tree. He went around greece as a normal man living a normal life. He fell in love with a woman named Moba and they had two children, a daughter and a son.
When Heracles had to complete his 12 labors, he gained the attention of Pistisuis. Pistisuis told Heracles to think carefully but also attack carefully and that the gods are with him. Heracles felt as if Pistisuis had a point and that he couldn't let his intelligence interfere with his strength nor his strength with his intelligence. Pistisuis empowered Heracles and gave him a sense of pride as he completed his 12 labors. He knew that with the power he had that he could finish it.
Later on in the life of Pistisuis, his son is summoned for the Trojan War. He didn’t think much of it until his son was killed in action. Only then did he gain such anger. He now hated the Trojans more than ever. He decided to tell a hero named, odysseus, an idea of his. He told odysseus that if they build a giant wooden horse and used it as a decoy for them to get inside of the walls, they could attack them when they least expect it. Odysseus couldn’t help but have faith from both his idea and Pistisuis himself. That idea alone helped the greeks win the Trojan War.
The war was over and Pistisuis grieves on his fallen son. He then looks up to the olympians and tells them,“ Things happen for a reason. My son was a worthy full sacrifice that helped us greeks win the war against the Trojans.” He is then invited to become an olympian for his impact on the gods. He declines, for he wants to spend time with his family.
Time passes on and his wife and daughter die of sickness. He is all alone, but he remember that he still has a place up in olympus. He travels to olympus and spend most of his time there. He comes down to earth when great people need faith. When he comes down to earth, he also decides to visits the island of Rhodes to see the graves of his family and to eat silver apples.
