Banyak perdebatan antara warna hitam dan putih. Beberapa orang menganggap hitam dan putih bukanlah warna. Lalu mereka mengambil cara aman untuk mendeskripsikan warna sebagai pigmen yang bisa dilihat mata manusia. Penyihir sepakat bahwa hitam adalah warna karena adanya campuran warna lain. Sementara putih dianggap sebagai warna sangat dasar, warna murni, dan tidak adanya warna.
Perubahan warna transfigurasi dibagi menjadi dua;
- Pertama, memang ditujukan untuk mengubah warna saja; mengubah warna dinding kelas.
- Lalu kedua, warna yang ditambahkan pada objek Transfigurasi. Warna ini membutuhkan tambahan energi dan konsentrasi yang lebih tinggi dari jenis perubahan warna pertama.
Menghilangkan pigmen berarti membuatnya menjadi transparan? Jawabannya iya. Kita juga bisa mengubah pigmen bahkan menambahkannya. Penyihir muda terkadang kerap membuat beberapa kesalahan. Di cabang charm juga terdapat mantra pengubah warna, yaitu Colovaria.
