Brutal Demon
A Screenplay by R. T. Sargarent
EXT. MIAMI BEACH - AFTERNOON
Unafraided Warrior Princess QUEEN TSUKYOMI YUKIBUKI is arguing with powerful Yukibito Clan Head YUKIBITO CLAN HEAD YUKINOJO YUKIBUKI. TSUKYOMI tries to hug YUKINOJO but he shakes her off.

TSUKYOMI
Please Yukinojo, don't leave me.


YUKINOJO
I'm sorry Tsukyomi, but I'm looking for somebody a bit more brave. Somebody who faces her fears head on, instead of running away.


TSUKYOMI
I am such a person!

YUKINOJO frowns.

YUKINOJO
I'm sorry, Tsukyomi. I just don't feel excited by this relationship anymore.

YUKINOJO leaves.
TSUKYOMI sits down, looking defeated.
Moments later, sweet guarding the shrine KITTEN ORANGE -SAMA barges in looking flustered.

TSUKYOMI
Goodness, Orange! Is everything okay?


ORANGE
I'm afraid not.


TSUKYOMI
What is it? Don't keep me in suspense...


ORANGE
It's ... a Demon ... I saw an evil Demon kill a bunch of humans!


TSUKYOMI
Defenseless humans?


ORANGE
Yes, defenseless humans!


TSUKYOMI
Bloomin' heck, Orange! We've got to do something.


ORANGE
I agree, but I wouldn't know where to start.


TSUKYOMI
You can start by telling me where this happened.


ORANGE
I was...

ORANGE fans himself and begins to wheeze.

TSUKYOMI
Focus Orange, focus! Where did it happen?


ORANGE
Hatfield House, England! That's right - Hatfield House, England!

TSUKYOMI springs up and begins to run.

EXT. A ROAD - CONTINUOUS
TSUKYOMI rushes along the street, followed by ORANGE. They take a short cut through some back gardens, jumping fences along the way.

INT. HATFIELD HOUSE, ENGLAND - SHORTLY AFTER
SANKO -SOKOWA- a brutal Demon terrorises two humans.
TSUKYOMI, closely followed by ORANGE, rushes towards SANKO, but suddenly stops in her tracks.

ORANGE
What is is? What's the matter?


TSUKYOMI
That's not just any old Demon, that's Sanko -Sokowa-!


ORANGE
Who's Sanko -Sokowa-?


TSUKYOMI
Who's Sanko -Sokowa-? Who's Sanko -Sokowa-? Only the most brutal Demon in the universe!


ORANGE
Blinkin' knickers, Tsukyomi! We're going to need some help if we're going to stop the most brutal Demon in the universe!


TSUKYOMI
You can say that again.


ORANGE
Blinkin' knickers, Tsukyomi! We're going to need some help if we're going to stop the most brutal Demon in the universe!


TSUKYOMI
I'm going to need anything thats powerful, lots of anything thats powerful.

Sanko turns and sees Tsukyomi and Orange. He grins an evil grin.

SANKO
Tsukyomi Yukibuki, we meet again.


ORANGE
You've met?


TSUKYOMI
Yes. It was a long, long time ago...


EXT. A PARK - BACK IN TIME
A young TSUKYOMI is sitting in a park listening to some trap/rap music, when suddenly a dark shadow casts over her.
She looks up and sees SANKO. She takes off her headphones.

SANKO
Would you like some pocky?

TSUKYOMI's eyes light up, but then he studies SANKO more closely, and looks uneasy.

TSUKYOMI
I don't know, you look kind of brutal.


SANKO
Me? No. I'm not brutal. I'm the least brutal Demon in the world.


TSUKYOMI
Wait, you're a Demon?

TSUKYOMI runs away, screaming.

INT. HATFIELD HOUSE, ENGLAND - PRESENT DAY

SANKO
You were a coward then, and you are a coward now.


ORANGE
(To TSUKYOMI) You ran away?


TSUKYOMI
(To ORANGE) I was a young child. What was I supposed to do?

TSUKYOMI turns to SANKO.

TSUKYOMI
I may have run away from you then, but I won't run away this time!

TSUKYOMI runs away.
She turns back and shouts.

TSUKYOMI
I mean, I am running away, but I'll be back - with anything thats powerful.


SANKO
I'm not scared of you.


TSUKYOMI
You should be.


EXT. KYOTO - LATER THAT DAY
TSUKYOMI and ORANGE walk around searching for something.

TSUKYOMI
I feel sure I left my anything thats powerful somewhere around here.


ORANGE
Are you sure? It does seem like an odd place to keep deadly anything thats powerful.


TSUKYOMI
You know nothing Orange -Sama.


ORANGE
We've been searching for ages. I really don't think they're here.

Suddenly, SANKO appears, holding a pair of anything thats powerful.

SANKO
Looking for something?


ORANGE
Crikey, Tsukyomi, he's got your anything thats powerful.


TSUKYOMI
Tell me something I don't already know!


ORANGE
The earth's circumference at the equator is about 40,075 km.


TSUKYOMI
I know that already!


ORANGE
I'M A HENTAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.


SANKO
(appalled) Dude!

While SANKO is looking at ORANGE with disgust, TSUKYOMI lunges forward and grabs her deadly anything thats powerful. He wields them, triumphantly.

TSUKYOMI
Prepare to die, you brutal cabbage!


SANKO
No please! All I did was kill a bunch of humans!

YUKINOJO enters, unseen by any of the others.

TSUKYOMI
I cannot tolerate that kind of behaviour! Those humans were defenceless! Well now they have a defender - and that's me! Tsukyomi Yukibuki defender of innocent humans.


SANKO
Don't hurt me! Please!


TSUKYOMI
Give me one good reason why I shouldn't use these anything thats powerful on you right away!


SANKO
Because Tsukyomi, I am your father.

TSUKYOMI looks stunned for a few moments, but then collects herself.

TSUKYOMI
No you're not!


SANKO
Ah well, it had to be worth a try.

SANKO tries to grab the anything thats powerful but TSUKYOMI dodges out of the way.

TSUKYOMI
Who's the daddy now? Huh? Huh?

Unexpectedly, SANKO slumps to the ground.

ORANGE
Did he just faint?


TSUKYOMI
I think so. Well that's disappointing. I was rather hoping for a more dramatic conclusion, involving my deadly anything thats powerful.

TSUKYOMI crouches over SANKO's body.

ORANGE
Be careful, Tsukyomi. It could be a trick.


TSUKYOMI
No, it's not a trick. It appears that... It would seem... Sanko -Sokowa- is dead!


TSUKYOMI
What?


TSUKYOMI
Yes, it appears that I scared him to death.

ORANGE claps his hands.

ORANGE
So your anything thats powerful did save the day, after all.

YUKINOJO steps forward.

YUKINOJO
Is it true? Did you kill the brutal Demon?


TSUKYOMI
Yukinojo how long have you been...?

YUKINOJO puts his arm around TSUKYOMI.

YUKINOJO
Long enough.


TSUKYOMI
Then you saw it for yourself. I killed Sanko -Sokowa-.


YUKINOJO
Then the humans are safe?


TSUKYOMI
It does seem that way!

A crowd of vulnerable humans enter, looking relived.

YUKINOJO
You are their hero.

The humans bow to TSUKYOMI.

TSUKYOMI
There is no need to bow to me. I seek no worship. The knowledge that Sanko -Sokowa- will never kill humans ever again, is enough for me.


YUKINOJO
You are humble as well as brave!

One of the humans passes TSUKYOMI a metalic that heart locket that Yuki gave me

YUKINOJO
I think they want you to have it, as a symbol of their gratitude.


TSUKYOMI
I couldn't possibly.

Pause.

TSUKYOMI
Well, if you insist.

TSUKYOMI takes the that heart locket that Yuki gave me.

TSUKYOMI
Thank you.

The humans bow their heads once more, and leave.
TSUKYOMI turns to YUKINOJO.

TSUKYOMI
Does this mean you want me back?


YUKINOJO
Oh, Tsukyomi, of course I want you back!

TSUKYOMI smiles for a few seconds, but then looks defiant.

TSUKYOMI
Well you can't have me.


YUKINOJO
WHAT?


TSUKYOMI
You had no faith in me. You had to see my scare a Demon to death before you would believe in me. I don't want a lover like that.


YUKINOJO
But...


TSUKYOMI
Please leave. I want to spend time with the one person who stayed with me through thick and thin - my best friend, Orange.

ORANGE grins.

YUKINOJO
But...


ORANGE
You heard the lady. Now be off with you. Skidaddle! Shoo!


YUKINOJO
Tsukyomi?


TSUKYOMI
I'm sorry Yukinojo, but I think you should skidaddle.

YUKINOJO leaves.
ORANGE turns to TSUKYOMI.

ORANGE
Did you mean that? You know ... that I'm your best friend?


TSUKYOMI
Of course you are!

The two walk off arm in arm.
Suddenly ORANGE stops.

ORANGE
When I said I'M A HENTAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, you know I was just trying to distract the Demon don't you?
