Notes

1. My first connection is when Mr. Loomis decided to use Faro to track down Ann. This reminds me of something that happened to a kid on Out of Eden. Apparently, this girl -from Brazil? brought carrots in her lunch that day, and a bunny decided to follow her. Sadly, she was crossing a road when a car came and killed the bunny. To this day, she says she will never bring carrots in her lunch again. Since Faro is a loyal dog and doesn't know of Mr. Loomis' evil intentions, he will for sure follow Ann and unknowingly betray her. But also, I really hope he doesn't die, because Ann will be sad and scarred like that girl on Out of Eden.

2. My second connection is to the part at the beginning of Chapter 16, when Ann starts to feel increasingly uneasy about Mr. Loomis. This reminds me of a time when my intuition was right about a person. I was downtown, getting ice cream in between concerts, and this really sketchy woman walked in. She smelled really strongly of perfume, makeup done, but something felt really off about her that all my friends noticed. So we left, and later on heard loud angry yelling in the shop, most likely from that woman, but we were all to scared to turn back and see.

3. Finally, my last connection is to when Mr. Loomis apologizes to Ann about his actions, obviously not a very sincere apology, especially since he calls her behavior schoolgirl-like right after. This reminds me of the personality of a person, someone who really enjoys giving backhanded apologies, or none at all.
