So if you model Slytherin, then it means you understand why Slytherins make decisions the way they do (on either the primary level or the secondary level, or possibly both— that’s up to you to figure out). And that doesn’t mean that you necessarily make those same decisions, although you might, but it means that you understand why people would

With the Slytherin/Hufflepuff, you still have the stratification of community, but they’ll often be more genuinely warmer to the people who aren’t in their inner circle. They hard-work and they kindness and they help people because it makes them feel good. They’ll act like a Hufflepuff, in a lot of ways, but help people not because they feel obligated to or any duty to, but because it brings them personal happiness.

The Basics of Our Sorting System
The System: Kat’s Explanation Inky’s Explanation Primaries: Gryffindor Hufflepuff Ravenclaw Slytherin
Hello,
Slytherin/Slytherin here :).

Basically the main type to be questioned about the morals, even though from my perspective there are types which have more of potential to be a threat to their communities or just humanity in general - so why it’s the double Slytherin type that comes under most scrutiny? I’d blame the biased writing/narrative in Harry Potter.

Primary Slytherin stuff: there are grades in how much I feel someone is my responsibility. The people to whom I’m close come first. That includes those who trust me and children placed in my care. Then come those with whom I’m culturally bound with (long story, but not only human species in that group.) Then - those from the cultures with which my culture is bound with for historical reasons. Only then - humanity in general.
It’s not like I were thinking my outer circles less important in general. They are important, very important - it’s only that I’m not responsible for them. There are other people who feel they are. Some are in my “inner circle;” doing what I can to keep them capable of pursuing their own goals - is about as far as I’m prepared to go for the matters from outside of my “middle circles.”
Acting on behalf of my “inner circle” is what makes me a decent person. Acting on behalf of my “middle circles” is what makes me a good person - and if I were able to do more of that, It would make me a hero.
It is as simple as that.
