I have been seeing this guy for 2 months now, this is the longest I’ve been waiting in my life before calling it a relationship, but we’re not there yet. He is a really good guy, he has everything I’ve been searching for my whole life, we have so much in common it’s almost scary sometimes, sex is amazing , we spend alot of fime together, everything is going great actually, but we’re not on the same page when it comes to developping feelings. I am known for being very quick and intense emotionally, and he is more the type to take it slowly since that is what he needs to feel safe as he stated many times. He just cannot trust anybody with his feelings as easy as others might because he was hurt and abandonned by his family, early in his childhood. Actually I read all this and can obviously realise that everything is obvious, but still, I’m hurt. I feel selfish for this but I cant can’t help it. It’s really easy for me to fall in love with somebody, I thought I would be doing better this time and it would happen just at the right time but It’s still too soon. I told him several times that I love him, to which he answered that he was starting to develop feelings for me, but just starting. It is really hard for me to deal with this, I feel ashamed for loving him more than he does love me, which makes me incapable of saying “I love you” again. He tells me he needs time to be sure to know me well before engaging into a relationship but I don’t know if I can wait anymore. I know it might work out soon but my mental health is at risk as I can see. Can you help me sort everything out?
