P.5 Final Assessment 2017 – 2018 (Circular P17123R)

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Final Assessment will be held from 11 June 2018 (Monday) to 15 June 2018 (Friday). Please read the
assessment timetable and the assessment coverage carefully, and urge your child/ward to do revision for the assessment.
P.5 Final Assessment Timetable 2017 – 2018
Please note the following:
1. Students must sit the assessments on the date and time specified. Students have to bring their books to study during
revision lessons.
2. Be punctual. Students who are late for any scheduled assessment must first report to the General Office before going to the
classroom to sit the assessment. No extra time will be given to late students. Assessments will end as scheduled for all
students.
3. Students who are sick are recommended to see a doctor and stay at home. Students who are absent from the assessment on
medical grounds and need to request for a make-up assessment should apply to Ms. Lee Lan Yuen, Vice Principal
(Academic) with a parent’s letter, a valid medical certificate and the School Handbook when they resume school (late
application will not be considered). Otherwise, no marks will be given to that/those subject(s). Those who fail any written
paper have to take the re-assessment afterwards.
4. The formative assessment (35% of the Second Term weighting) will be based on the students’ daily performance, which
includes classwork, homework, projects, quizzes, dictations and class participation. For subjects like Life Value Education,
Religious Studies, Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Performing Arts, Putonghua and Living in Hong Kong, the assessment will
be based only on their daily performance. For the yearly assessment result, 30% of marks is from the First Term while 70%
of marks is from the Second Term.
5. Physical Education, as well as Information and Communication Technology, will be assessed by teachers during normal
lessons before the assessment period.
6. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 noon during the assessment period. School bus service will be available, but lunch will
not be supplied.
