Notes - notes.io

My skin is a combination. It's dry around my nose and the area between my eyebrows and then overly oily everywhere else.

On a regular morning: (some people wash their face before brushing... I do it after just to avoid the drying properties of toothpaste on my skin)
- I take a small washing cloth and run it under hot water. I then wring it out a bit and then put it completely over my face and neck. (you might want to repeat this process 2-3 times more. If you have sensitive skin however, only do it once and/or maybe twice) This opens the pores and gives you something to work with when cleansing your skin.
- I use a cleanser (Liquid Facial Soap: Oily Skin Formula by Clinque. You can always use the cleanser you have if you already know it benefits your skin. Apply this to all the products I mention.) and work it into my skin. It has a nice cooling effect which really helps deep cleaning my pores. I leave that on for at least 3 minutes and then pat off with the hot cloth.
- I then use a foaming cleanser (Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser Mousse) to make sure my pores are really clean. It's gentler compared to the Liquid Facial Soap and lathers very nicely. I also work that into my skin and leave it on for a few minutes and then pat off. *
- (I don't have highly sensitive skin so I can exfoliate everyday but if you know that you have sensitive skin, exfoliate 1-2 times a week to avoid hurting your skin) I use either one or 2 mixed together since they have different bead sizes. (Youthful Essence by Susan Lucci (smaller beads) and Medicated Apricot Scrub by Kroger's (bigger beads) Using these two really gets the dead skin off my face. I again leave these 2 on for a few minutes and then gently, GENTLY, pat off with the hot towel. It's incredibly important not to wipe or rub it off (especially exfoliate products). Wiping and/or rubbing can damage your skin heavily and you don't want that.
- *Sometimes I skip step 3 and use a exfoliating glove with my foaming cleanser to both clean and exfoliate my skin. Also make sure to use all the products/types of products on your neck as well.
- After all of this you need to run the cloth over extremely or just cold water and apply it to your skin. This closes your pores and keeps most outside debris and dirt stay out of them.
- Make sure to keep your face damp but not overly wet for this step. (If you are allergic to coconut oil... Don't use it on your skin and replace it with Jojoba Oil.) I use a mixture of Rose Oil and Coconut Oil together and put some on your face and massage it in until it is almost absorbed. *
- Since I used to have a stupid dark spot between my eyebrows I then used a dark spot remover. If you're using something like this, make sure to follow the directions carefully. (Dark Spot, Spot Corrector by Advanced Clinicals)
- I use collagen on my skin. It's a substance that firms your face up, leaving you with fresh looking skin. This is a product that girls even 3-5 years younger than me use in Asian countries. (Not the type of collagen that you stick in your lips and face xD) Please also make sure to follow the directions carefully with this product too. If any irritation seems to show, stop using it. I mix it up with a few drops of Jojoba oil (it has a tacky feeling if I don't add the oil) and massage it into my skin with the same tactic I used for the Rose and Coconut Oil. (3X Retinol Collagen by Sculpt)
- Finally I use a (night) cream that prevents wrinkles. (Same deal with Asian girls xD) I massage a bit into my skin and by the time I get to school or whatever place I'm going, each product absorbs nicely into my skin leaving me glowing! (Revitalift by L'Oreal)
- My routine is a bit like Korean skin care and they often use things like collagen and anti-wrinkle products at young ages to protect their skin. Revitalift has SPF built into it which is amazing and it'll keep you from getting sunburned!
- *Make to only use the necessary amount that works best on your skin and make sure to use them on your neck too. Also you can use a toner too! I use a DIY one with Apple Cider Vinegar but if you have one please do use it!

On a regular night I use this same routine but with a few added steps.
-When I do end up wearing makeup I use the Cold Cream Cleanser by Pond's to get all the makeup off my face. Since the mixture of this cleanser is very creamy, it makes it incredibly difficult to take off. To take it off I clean it out with my Liquid Cleanser or a natural bar of soap (Tomato soap, Charcoal soap, and etc.) *Speaking of cleaning creams, a GREAT cleansing cream I use (not to remove makeup) but to clean my pores and get rid of pimples and such is Classic Clean: Original Deep Cleansing Cream by Noxzema. It's absolutely amazing!
-After washing my face I get an Astringent and put it on a cotton ball and clean my whole neck and face. This gets all the dirt I didn't wash completely off earlier. You can easily add this step to your morning routine as also. (Classic Clean, Original Formula Astringent by Sea Breeze. Do NOT get this stuff by or in your eyes... It's hurts so bad!!)
- I also sometimes rub castor oil on my eyelashes and eyebrows to keep them growing strong and healthy

On the weekends I play with masks and under eye pads. I follow the same routines and make sure to start off with clean and open skin. (hot cloth!)
- Make sure to do the washing part before this! but instead of ending with cold water. End with lukewarm water so the nutrients from the masks can get into your skin.
-I take the mask and leave it on until my skin absorbs almost all or all of the moisture. I also squeeze the remaining liquid in the packet out and apply it on my neck, arms/hands, and collar. You can also follow this procedure with the under-eye pads.
- After you've absorbed all the liquid take it off and massage the remaining liquid left, into your skin and neck. I don't wash it off but if the amount of liquid on your face bothers you you can get a hot towel and put it over your face to get some of the surface liquid off. Don't even pat it off, just set it on your face.
- Then follow the rest of the routine!
- I use Collagen & Avocado Spa Treatment Mask by Revive and Vitamin C & Collagen Under-Eye Pads by Azure Kosmetics. I've also been into using Asian masks and serums since I'm weeb... But seriously consider them and keep them out! They are amazing! I also recommend DIY masks an such! They are such a great alternative.

Well, that's basically it! I'm going to give you a few pointers!
- Make sure your skin is always hydrated. Either splash some water on your face/neck and seal with some oil/cream or use a spray bottle to mist your face and seal.
- Drink a lot of water! You can also put in things like lemon, apple cider vinegar, and other things to add some awesome benefits!
- Also eat relatively healthy if not completely healthy! :)
- Do some light exercise too! I usually do a few hours of Just Dance and I'm good :))
- Do NOT touch your face a lot after your routines are done, especially if you're touching your phone a lot. That's why some people get pimples on their checks and such.

A good water recipe I often like doing is detox water. Sometimes I go simple and let a good 3 chopped up cucumbers sit in a pitcher of water overnight and then drink it first thing in the morning and/or throughout the day! You can also add other fruits like pineapple, strawberries, kiwi's and etc. Just make sure to replace it after 5 days just to be completely safe! (You do not want to drink moldy water.. Yuck)

Hope I seemed to help! You can obviously adjust this to your needs but this routine has help me maintain smooth, radiant, and pimple-free skin! <3
