__Idk What to Title This But I'm Definitely Sharing It__

Jeremy's been hiding something from Michael for months: Every night at roughly nine-fifty-six, before he went to bed, he would call Michael. Each time he heard the tone before the other picked up, he fidgeted in anticipation. It was a routine his body knew well, and a pattern especially familiar to his.. downstairs area.
Every night, the phone would ring twice - it was just enough time to slip himself out without worry that Michael would hear a zipper, the elastic snap of his boxers, anything. And each time, Michael was ready.
When Jeremy asked, time and time again, for him to talk - Michael always had something prepared for him. Often, Jeremy wouldn't remember what it was at all, he was too focused on the boy's voice. The lilt at the end of his sentences as he enthusiastically mentioned something he was interested in; The way his voice paused at certain words or the way he just *breathed* at the end of his sentences.. it was absolutely intoxicating.
And he'd just listen, shamelessly touching himself in his bedroom every night, completely focused on that *damned voice* and how hot it made his body feel. The thought of getting caught was thrilling, only helping him along. Even if Jeremy had been absolutely careful... Michael had to know, right?

And of course, Michael knew. He practically got off each morning on asking what Jeremy thought of the previous night's monologue - to which he'd always stammer and reply, "Yeah, I totally agree," or something along those lines.
It took less than a week for Michael to really catch on to the slurred tone in Jeremy's voice, as well as the hazed and delayed responses when he'd asked a question.. so he stopped asking. Each evening before the infamous time came, he'd look something up. Michael found that it never really mattered what he talked about, as long as he could talk about it. It eventually got to the point where he was repeating topics, just mentioning anything off the top of his head.
But eventually Michael had become accustomed enough that he joined in. He hoped it wasn't too obvious, the way he'd rephrase himself or simply reply with a "Yeah," but it never really mattered, right? As long as he kept talking, Jeremy would remain at the other end, almost at his mercy.
