Introduction- Employee Management System

Overview

This report discusses the result of the work done in development of "Web
Development for Conduent Inc.". It is a part of the Summer Training Project going in Information Technology Department, MSIT Delhi and aims at the development of a web application as a readily available source of information between the organization and the employee.

In this project, web languages are extensively used such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, C# and SQL. Various web development frameworks like Bootstrap, Jquery and Dot Net have been used.

Employee Management System performs as a readily available source of information between the organization and the employee. Contact information, salary information, posts, work schedule, education information etc. is what most database systems consist of.

Employee management systems are highly efficient. A member of the organization can easily retrieve information about his/her colleague whenever required.

Since the information is mostly fed in by the employees themselves you can be sure the information is accurate since it’s straight from the source. Moreover, an employee can access their information anytime. Therefore, he/she can keep it updated. The information added to the employee management system is available for as long as an employee is working in a firm or if needed, longer than that.

Specific information about the employee can be kept private from public viewing. This information includes FBP declaration, reimbursement claims, income tax statement and its declaration and many more.






Background

Web programming, also known as web development, is the creation of dynamic web applications. Examples of web applications are social networking sites like Facebook or e-commerce sites like Amazon.

There are two broad divisions of web development – front-end development (also called client-side development) and back-end development (also called server-side development).

Front-end development refers to constructing what a user sees when they load a web application – the content, design and how you interact with it. This is done with three codes – HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

HTML, short for Hyper Text Markup Language, is a special code for ‘marking up’ text in order to turn it into a web page. Every web page on the net is written in HTML, and it will form the backbone of any web application. CSS, short for Cascading Style Sheets, is a code for setting style rules for the appearance of web pages. CSS handles the cosmetic side of the web. JavaScript is a scripting language that’s widely used to add functionality and interactivity to web pages.

Back-end development controls what goes on behind the scenes of a web
application. A back-end often uses a database to generate the front-end.
