Personally, my cycles are almost always irregular. Sometime I menstruate after two weeks and sometimes after five weeks. That is, however, normal for teenagers. Before I get my periods (the PMS) I get very moody because my hormones are all over the place. Then my menstruation begins and it starts off light. Over the next few days, it get very heavy and then slowly begins to get lighter until it stops. In terms of diet and exercise, going for long walks and drinking hot green helps with cramps and decreases the need to take a painkiller. I've never been the kind to get extreme pain, just major cramps on the second and third day, mostly. After tracking my cycles over the past couple of months, theses are the patterns I have noticed.
