O1. Pengertian
Ramuan ini dinamakan "pepper-up" potion karena pedas sekali hingga peminumnya dapat mengeluarkan asap dari telinganya. Fungsi ramuan ini adalah untuk menyembuhkan gejala flu dan demam. ramuan ini juga bisa menghangatkan tubuh saat musim dingin.
Glover Hipworth menemukan ramuan ini di pertengahan-ke-akhir abad ke-18 atau di awal abad ke-19. Selama musim dingin tahun ajaran 1992-1993, siswa Hogwarts banyak yang terkena flu. Madam Pomfrey pun menggunakan ramuan ini untuk meringankan gejala flu mereka. Efek yang ditimbulkan oleh ramuan ini akan berlangsung selama 1-3 jam, tidak lebih.
Perlu diperhatikan sebelum nanti praktek, adukan dalam pembuatan ramuan ini tidak boleh salah, harus tepat. Jika adukan atau langkah membuat ada yang salah, ramuan ini akan menjadi racun. Tentu saja setiap ramuan yang salah pasti tidak berhasil.
O2. Bahan
- 2 gr Bubuk jahe
- 2 gr Bubuk Belladonna
- ¾ gr Bubuk taring ular
- 200 cc air hangat
O3. Langkah-langkah
1. Siapkan bahan dan alat.
2. Siapkan kuali ( pastikan bersih dan tidak terkontaminasi oleh apapun )
3. Nyalakan api sedang di atas tungku. Tidak besar dan tidak kecil.
4. Kemudian isi kuali dengan air, biarkan hingga panas namun tidak mendidih. ( tidak sampai meletup )
5. Masukkan bubuk jahe kedalam kuali lalu aduk 17x searah jarum jam
6. Kemudian masukkan bubuk taring ular perlahan-lahan dengan takaran 3/4 lalu aduk lagi 7x searah jarum jam.
7. Lalu masukkan bubuk Belladona dan tidak perlu diaduk
8. Aduk ramuan 7x berlawanan dengan arah jarum jam
