Disebut sebagai Kain Kafan Hidup/Jubah hidup makhluk magis karnivora yang sangat berbahaya. Penampilannya mernyerupai jubah hitam yang kira-kira setengah inci tebalnya. Dan akan lebih tebal jika Lethifold ini baru mencerna korban. Lethifold dapat di temukan di daerah tropis. Ia menyerang mangsanya (manusia) pada malam hari, ketika mangsanya sedang tertidur. Lethifold akan mencekik dan mencerna mangsanya di tempat tidur. Satu-satunya cara untuk melindungi diri dari Lethifold adalah dengan mantra Patronus. Namun, sedikit sekali korban dari si Jubah Hitam ini berhasil selamat dikarenakan banyak dari mereka yang tak sempat bangun untuk menggunakan mantra Patronus tersebut dan akhirnya si Jubah Hitam itu menang.
Lethifold ini membuat calon korbannya lemas terlebih dahulu dengan menutup bagian wajah korbannya dengan tubuh mereka. Setelah itu, Lethifold baru mencerna korban di tempat tidur mereka dan tidak meninggalkan jejak
