Marinette her zamanki gibi geç uyanmıştı:
-"Aah yine mi !" "Her zaman geç kalıyorum off"
Yıldırım hızıyla hazırlanıp,okula gitti.Sırasında onun yaşlarında bir çocuk vardı.SAKIZ yapıştırıyordu.Marinette hınçla bağırdı,çocuk yerinden sıçradı.Yeni gelen çocuğa:
-" Hey sen!Ne yapıyorsun orada?!" dedi. Çocuk:
-"Bak,özür dilerim.Yapışmış sakızı çıkarmaya çalışıyordum!"
Marinette inanmadı,üstüne üstlük sakız ellerine yapışmıştı.Adrien üzülmüştü.Daha ilk gününden bir düşman edinmek kötüydü.Kararlıydı,çıkışta yanına gidecekti.
~~~Okuldan Sonra~~~
A: "Merhaba,Marinette olmalısın değil mi?Ben Adrien.Bugün olanlar..."
M:"Aah,şu model çocuk Adrien Agreste.Tabii,bu kadar ünlülük şımarıklık yaratır.Sakız yapıştırman normal!
A: "Hayır.Ben,ben özür dilerim Marinette."
Saçları,yağmurda ıslanmıştı.Islanınca sarı saçları daha parlaklaşmış,gülümsüyordu.Marinette bi an bir çekime kapılmış gibi hissetti.Adrien de öyle. Adrien,bi an dalmış da uyanmış gibi sıçrayıp,el salladı.
Marinette öyle bakakaldı.O da el salladı ama,ne yaptığının farkında değildi.
Bunları gören Adrien'in sürücüsü:
-"Daha ilk günden.Bir arkadaş mı?Sevindim Adrien." dedi.Adrien içinden düşündü, nedense "o benim arkadaşım" diyemiyordu.Bunlar,daha farklı duygulardı.Marinette o gece uyuyamadı.
-"Yeni bir gün,yeni olaylar."diyerek,uykuya daldı.
