As the mother of Arial Elizabeth Koreen, I feel it is in the best interest for her to live with me and her 3 younger siblings and their father. Arial has asked to move to Tucson, Arizona where I live with my family. Over the years, Arial, has had run ins with the law and I believe that her guardian, Mary Koreen, is a bit overwhelmed at this point. Mary stated to the West Bend Police Department that she did not want Arial there anymore and to take her to jail. When the police arrived returning Arial home, Mary had the door chain locked so they could not enter. Once the police officer left Arial told me that her grandmother took Arial's house keys and swung at her. Arial then went to the park when the police arrived stating that Mary called her in as a runaway. Once Arial returned home, Mary, stated that Arial is not allowed in the house unless she is home and she works Monday thru Friday 6:00am to 1:30pm. Meaning Arial has to leave the apartment at 5:30am and cannot return until estimated 2:00pm no matter what the weather and without food or drink. The next day Arial contacted me at 5:30pm stating she was hungry and hasn't been allowed home yet. Arial has yet since been allowed home and I am extremely worried for her and feel it is in her best interest for her to come home to me. I live in a wonderful school district and rent a 4 bedroom house in a great neighborhood, she also has 2 younger sisters and a younger brother who miss her very much. Arial is no stranger to us, she is this families rock and always has been. She calls my childrens' father her step father. Arial has known his since she was 4 years old. Mary had felt that I was a threat to her when we had moved back to WI for a year because she was afraid I would go to the courts to bring Arial back home, so she would not allow Arial to come for the weekends any longer or have any contact with us with her knowledge. Regardless, Arial and I always kept in contact and have had a tight bond. In 2007 I signed guardianship papers to Mary Ann and John Koreen under the verbal agreement that she would come home after her kindergarden year was finished. I had asked, Mary, if Arial could go to her first year of school by her because I had just moved to Illinois not to long before that and had gotten a house in a neighborhood I did not like to much or the school district. I knew I would be moving soon but did not want Arial to have to change schools in the middle of her school year as well as I didnt want her in that elementary school at all. Mary agreed to take Arial for the school year and return her. A week after Arial went to Mary's, Mary called me asked me if I could sign temporary guardiship papers so that she could enroll her into school because she could not do so without guardianship so I agreed. A few days after that she called and asked if Id sign permanent guardianship and that it could be signed back over to me even though it says permant so that we would have to go to court every 30 days to renew the temp while she was in school. I also agree and her lawyers confirm everything she said to me so I signed the papers. After that, Mary and John Koreen no longer answered my phone calls. It wasnt until I showed up to there door that I was able to see my daughter. They took my daughter from me under false pretenses. I know it has been a long time and I wanted Arial home a long time ago but honestly did not know how to do it without a lawyer I could not afford until now with our great internet technology. Arial's father, Joshua Koreen, was released from prison for shooting a 14 year old in the head and right away, Mary had Arial live with him, during the time with her father he failed to tell the police he had a daughter at home when he was arrested and placed in jail as well has had a domestic despute with his young girlfriend in Arial's presence. Joshua was also arrested and had jail time for domestic abuse towards Arial in 2014 while under Mary Koreens judgement as the guardian. John Koreen passed away from alcohol abuse years ago. I am asking the courts to please allow Arial to come back home to her family, we have all felt empty apart for too long.
