The best way to go about this is to use the application “TaskRabbit,” which is a free delivery app where you can hire others to complete simple tasks for you. What you need to do is hire someone in San Diego to pick up a code and send it to you. It requires a credit/debit card, but if you follow these steps you will pay next to nothing.

1. Download the app TaskRabbit and create a new free account. *NOTE: TaskRabbit is not available everywhere. When I first created my account, it would not allow me any further because I live in a place where their services do not reach. I have family who lives in the San Diego area, so they allowed me to use their address when signing up.*
2. Click on the category “Shopping/Delivery.” Input the pick-up address, which in this case is *350 5th Avenue, San Diego CA, 92101* (SD Convention Center). You should include a time when the Laika merchandise booth is open, which you can find the times online. Usually around 12-5pm PST but it varies.
3. The task requires no vehicle and should take less than an hour.
4. Make sure to give vivid details about the task. Here is what I sent: “Hi! I’m looking for someone to pick something up for me at San Diego Comic Con. It’s a digital code located at the Laika merchandise booth at the Gaslamp Quarter of the convention center. Details for picking up the code can be found at this tweet: https://twitter.com/SWCT_info/status/1017924015455985664. After the pickup, just message me the code, no physical delivery needed. This is at the Laika pop-up exhibit booth, which is split up in two parts: the merch store and the live art exhibit.
In order to get the code, the promotion requires you to buy $10 of Laika merchandise. I can include the $10 in the payment, but you can choose whatever the item is, and even keep it if you want!”
*NOTE: the $10 is not required in your message, but it’s courteous to include it so you don’t have to make them pay.*
5. Pick a Tasker that works $20 per hour or less. If you use a first-time promo code that takes off $20 from your first purchase (linked below), it should cost next to nothing!
