Selain 3 mantra terlarang (crucio, imperio, dan avada kedavra), ada banyak mantra yang dilarang untuk digunakan.
1. Antonin Dolohov's Curse
tipe: Curse
pergerakan tangan: Slash
sinar: ungu
efek: luka dalam atau bahkan kematian
Hermione Granger pernah menjadi korban mantra ini. Tidak ada penampakan luka dan darah, namun menimbulkan rasa sakit sehingga bisa dibilang efek mantra ini dapat melukai dalam tubuh.
2. Fiendfyre
Fiendfyre adalah mantra yang cukup berbahaya karena cukup sulit untuk dikendalikan. Api dari mantra tersebut mampu menghancurkan sebuah horcrux. Artinya, mantra tersebut cukup kuat.
3. Blasting Curse (Confringo)
perapalan: Confringo > (con-FREEN-go)
tipe: Curse
pergerakan tangan: menunjuk target
sinar: jingga seperti api
Efek: menyebabkan ledakan
Pernah digunakan Peter Pettigrew pada tahun 1981 untuk membunuh 12 Muggle.
4. Slug-vomitting Curse
perapalan: Slugulus Eructo > (slug-YOU-lus eh-RUCK-toe)
tipe: Curse
pergerakan tangan: menunjuk pada target
sinar: hijau
efek: membuat korban muntah siput
Ron Weasley pernah menjadi korban mantra tersebut dari mantranya sendiri karena tongkat sihirnya yang rusak saat ia ingin memantrai Draco Malfoy. Meski tidak membahayakan nyawa korban, namun mantra tersebut tetap tidak boleh digunakan. Treacle fudge dapat mengobatinya dalam hitungan detik.
5. Sectumsempra
perapalan: Sectumsempra > (sec-TUM-semp-ra)
tipe: Curse
pergerakan: Slash
sinar: putih
efek: memotong target.
pembuat: Severus Snape
Harry pernah menggunakan mantra ini untuk melawan Draco Malfoy, membuatnya terluka parah hingga darah mengalir. Profesor Snape menggunakan mantra Vulnera sanentur untuk mengobatinya.
