Community Call Updates:
1. 5th July - Book Club - Organised a bookclub meetup. First meetup. It was quite nice and fun. (Meet and greet where they spoke about their book choices and recommendations followed by pictionary)Noticed that people who werent part of the book club turned up for the event. About 12 people came. Learnings that came out of it: Marketing couldve been done better for the book club so as to make it more effective. Also as we decided to make the book club meet up happen at 5pm. We noticed that many people had already left so that couldve been planned more effectively.
2. 6th July - Iamhere - So iamhere is a hyperlocal social media app and since they were extremely enthusiastic about doing an unwind for our members we partnered with them and conducted an unwind called find bob at our hub. So we gathered about 15 members and they had to download an app, find bob on the app and send him a funny message. The best message would win. It was a nice event except it didnt really add any value to our members. However there were free samosas for the members and also the winner won a 500 rupee amazon voucher.
3. 7th July - Introvert Leadership seminar - A member brought in a mentor to conduct this seminar. This was a closed meetup.
3. 11th - How to build your personal brand - rashmi - mica graduate adn marketing whiz. Took us through some basic tenets to personal branding and how we can use social media to build a personal brand. Feedback - Very informative and orginal content. However she spoke quite a lot so people felt it could have been more interactive.
4. 12th - Decoding cryptocurrencies through visualisation - This was a meetup on data sciences and cryptocurrency. 40 rsvps - 22 turned up. Event was quite a success. Both organissers and the people who attended enjoyed it.
5. 14th - Freelancers meetup - 10 people attended it. It was just a private meetup for fellow freelancers to get to know each other.
6.17th and 18th - Chess tournament - Quarter finals and semi finals are happening 17th and 18th july. Finals would happen during anniverary week.
Updates for coming weeks -
This week we have a workshop, How to sell without hardselling happening on 19th, and aspiring author event happening o 20th. We already circulated details to our members and other hubs.
Planning to have a photography unwind and just birthday celebrations and leaving the last week of july a little dry cuz we are gearing up for anniversary week which is gonna be packed with events and fun stuff for our members.
