During our last seminar, we have worked on the Business Model Canvas for our business renewal idea - the Räslätt Cafeteria. It is a tool that can be used to describe, design, challenge and pivot a business model. It also works well in conjunction with the Value Proposition Canvas and other strategic management tools and processes. It consists of 9 parts - Key Partners, Key Activities, Key Resources, Value Proposition, Customer Relationships, Channels, Customer Segments, Cost Structure and Revenue Streams. Starting with the Value Proposition, the value we bring to our customers is a wide food and coffee variety and our eco-friendly environment (the cafeteria will be using only biodegradable cups and will be donating food at the end of the day to avoid food wasting). We also hope to cater to families by providing family deals and discounts, kids menus or bring your own cups deals. Moreover, we provide a nice and comfortable environment that will be pet-friendly. Regarding the Customer Relationships, we want to be known for our responsiveness to any issues or inconveniences. Our Channels are marketing in Räslätt, our Facebook page and word of mouth. Furthermore, we also expect to gain exposure because of our food donation program. After analyzing the population demographics in Räslätt and its influence on our business idea, the Customer Segments we decided to focus on are mainly families with children, couples, elderly and pet lovers. The Räslatt Cafeteria's Key Partners are mainly suppliers - of the biodegradable cups, of the food and ingredients and obviously one that supplies the Cafeteria with the coffee beans. It is also working with a small marketing agency that is arranging the marketing in Räslätt and a charity organization regarding the food donation program. The Cafeteria's Key Activities include roasting and grinding coffee beans, creating the menu, preparing food and customer service. Key Resources are the location, the coffee variety, charity awareness and the value created by being environmentally conscious.
