Hey everybody my name is SpikeeG and welcome to the update video. This is the biggest update that has ever happened on my channel, and should be the last one for a long time. I want to start by saying that I'm sorry for how much of a mess that my channel has been for about the last half of this year, but i do have answers as to why its been like that. As you may or may not know, I am currently halfway through 9th grade,aka my freshman year, aka year 10 in the uk, etc etc. So i have been dealing with my first year of high school for the last 4-5 months. Obviously schooling quickly came priority and honestly most if not all thoughts of recording videos for the channel died off, replaced by thoughts of grades and homework. That is my main reasoning behind what has caused my channel to be a mess, now on to the second part of the title. Well as the title says I will be transferring to homeschooling. I will be switching from my towns high school to online schooling thru k12. If you want info on k12 there will be a link to it in the description. Now to explain why I'm doing this. I want to say that I have absolutely know bad feelings towards my high school or the people in it, this has actually been an incredibly hard decision to make. I love my high school, and the people there. Although this has been my last year of being in the schooling system its actually been one of the best. I've met so many amazing people and have made so many memories in the last couple of months, and I'm forever grateful for that. OK so if I love the school and everything why am i leaving? well over the last few years I have been in a constant struggle with missing school because of stress and random sicknesses, and sometimes just because i didn't feel like going. I've had a lot of things to give me stress and grief and for the last few years and its caused my grades and attendance to drop, to plummet actually. I'm currently 1 day away from receiving no credit for my classes. To put in perspective, I have consecutively for the last 3 years missed all 12 of my allotted days allowed to miss. And with missing classes comes dropping grades. I'm currently about 2-3 weeks behind in all of my classes. This has like I said been something that I've been struggling with for a very long time. I've looked at myself and the situation I'm in and after much thinking have finally realized that for my educations sake there needs to be a change. by switching to k12 I will be able to focus and learn instead of worry about catching up and missing days. This will relieve an immense amount of stress from me, and will allow me to do things I wasn't able to before, all while getting a good education. So what does this all mean for the channel? Well like I say'd I will have the time do things I wasn't able to before. One of those things being recording and uploading on a schedule. With the stress relief and the extra time, i will be able to devote a chunk of my time to the channel. The change to k12 will happen in January, in the second semester of school. So come next year expect more on the channel, and more from me. I am really excited to be able to focus on the channel and make it what it can be.
