Good afternoon Nour,

Glad to be connected to you from Sydney. She referred you to me since you helped her with VentureX's web app.

What you should know about the minimum that I'm looking for, this represents the bare minimum :
- I'm looking for no less than a 4-month commitment. Ideally longer than 6 months. Mainly because I want to get the ball rolling on several things.
- This project is post-prototype, entering public testing. So you'd be joining me in finishing things out and making a first-version production system, so if there are areas we can complement each other on, awesome, but we will need to get past the learning curve quickly!
- If you can commit weekend time, or late night time, the better!
- You cannot be dependent on React JS. Or any patent-bsd licensed libraries of framework. As this project is built on highly competitive IP which is not through its legal cycle.
- NDA must be signed before we go into technical details of the project, which will happen before I greenlight working with you. Unfortunately, this is a dealbreaker if you are not comfortable with this requirement.
- If you opt for remote work, you must still be available to meet in person or via Skype/Facetime regularly as we'll be coding side by side more often as time goes by.
- You must be 100% committed to this, unfortunately I can only bring on people who have no other working commitments. If this is your case and your work commitment finishes soon, please outline those details.

What you can get out of this :
- I am open to a co-founder or two after a vesting period of 3 months. However, this obviously means that you are willing to be implicated 110% during that time, and are willing to stay on board long-term. And the vesting criteria will be outlined in your contract.
- Depending on how quickly we can work, I could look into upgrading your hardware. This is not a promise or a commitment however as we'll be Bootstrapped, but this is likely to happen if you stay on board long-term.


I'd also like to see if there is some overlap with what I'm working on and what you're comfortable doing.

I've looked you up on LinkedIn already, but could you summarize to me what it is you can do practically. I essentially need to know the following:

- Can you program mobile? If so, which OS, language, and which OS API's are your favourites (example, MLKit for iOS 11). If you have any published apps, or something available on TestFlight, let me know or fire me a download email!

- What's your top back-end programming language if you can produce with one? If you have many, rank the top three by mastery in your own opinion.

- What's your experience with back-end services? Things like AWS, Firebase, Stripe, Heroku, Database as a Service etc.

- How proficient are you with cybersecurity architectures? Things like TLS, PCI standards, mobile and/or web client encryption.

- What's your experience with Sockets? If you have any, do you tend to build out engines yourself, or you do have an open-source library of choice?

- How do you prefer to work? Remotely, or would like to work in a coworking space with flexible hours (as long as work gets done obviously). I'm pretty flexible with this, but the budget is there for me to rent space so don't hesitate to specify.

- What's your hardware like. Which OS? Is it Mac or a PC? If you program mobile, do you have test devices you can dedicate to this project, or would you use your personal device?

- How many hours can you put in every week?

- What are your compensation range and the frequency you would like? (Monthly, bi-weekly?)

- Where are you based out of?


Let's start with these questions! Feel free to answer them in bullet form, or written out, I have no personal preference! They cover a broad spectrum, so please don't feel intimidated if you can't meet most of the topics they cover.

Moving forward, here's how things would go. My goal is to start working with you ASAP if it seems like it could work, so ideally we can avoid a coding project in the interview process. Obviously, if I feel like we should do one, we will but don't worry! I don't want to waste anyone's time (I've been through them too), so we would only do a half-day sprint exercise. Ideally, I'd like to get through the hiring process within a week's time of it beginning, or to have everyone on board by January 1st if December becomes too complicated for everyone!
