Prologue
(slanted words) She has a lot of nerve coming back here.
I've managed to put up a huge act in front of the small crowd huddled nearby me, obviously giving me so many unwelcoming gestures. I could hear a crack from someone behind. As I walked closer, I made sure not to exchange any looks. Even if it was just a glance. I felt like I couldn't handle very much anymore. I knew there was no way out this time. Not in my situation. I didn't know how I could rub off strangers the wrong way, hate them the minute they laid their eyes on me. The second they smelled something funny...
I could feel everyone's eyes still on me, as if they were able to see right through me. I didn't want to attract so much negative attention. Or, in this case, (slanted) not any attention at all.
I hastily made my way to the nearest chair closest to the door. The exit.
I made sure to keep my distance from the rest. I tried to blend in, no matter how different it made me from the rest. I knew I was going to have to wait very long until someone bothers to call my name.
As tough as it was for me, I soon got lost into my own mindless thoughts. Before losing control of my own thoughts, I remember thinking of how nicely decorated the portable was. For a moment, I found it unbelievable that they can attend so many of their clients at one time. Although, it did take a while for it to be someone's turn; many of their clients didn't come alone. No matter how hard they try to make this place look decent, I knew it wasn't. It was dreadful.
I put an effort on fussing about everything. I tried to put the pieces together, but it just wasn't enough. I let things go out of hand, and I didn't dare to lift a finger. Then one thing lead to another, and now look where it got me.
After about a year, they decided to let me go. I didn't do my part. To be honest, I don't feel like they did theirs either. Not with me around. The most interesting thing I found to occur was how they knew I didn't want to be there. I just knew they had an advantage.
Of course, I was immediately brought back here because I probably took things too seriously more than I was supposed to. What I thought to be the last time I ever stepped foot in this place wasn't after all.
All I know is that things aren't going to be okay. I couldn't run anymore. I had to get used to it all..
