I. Наурыз — праздник обновления, благоденствия, весны, начала года. В эту пору очищают родники, источники, сажают деревья, совершаются добрые деяния.
ІІ. Қымызмұрындық — праздник лета, проводится в промежутке месяцев мая — июня. Пора доения кобылиц, изготовления кумыса; близкие и дальние родичи пригла¬шают друг друга в гости. Проводятся разные нацио¬нальные игры, состязания.
ІІІ. Мизам (сабан той) — праздник в честь земледельцев и животноводов, праздник урожая.
IV. Соғым басы — праздник зимы. Проводится после выпада снега и наступления холодов. Пора повсеместного забоя скота на зиму. Угощают друг друга убойным мясом. Долгими зимними вечерами акыны, певцы, сказители, музыканты забавляют народ своим искусством. Сочиняют¬ся ска-зы, киссы, дастаны, сказки. Праздник отдохновения.
