I find it very weird that the top 49 highest grossing mobile games in the US are free to play. It feels like it should be reverse, right. The more expensive games make more money and the free ones only make a little bit. From ads probably. But no. This is not the case the highest grossing game for mobile is free, at a very good 2 million dollars. 2 million! And the first one that costs money has made 92 000 dollars. That is a fraction of 2 million. It is only 4,6% of 2 million. That is absurd to me. Do you know how they made all of that money? Can you guess? It is micro-fucking-transactions. Small, or sometimes large, in-game prices. Spending real money on a game just to make it easier or faster. These prices can be anything between 1 dollar to almost 100 dollars. In PokemonGo, the most expensive in app purchase in 100 dollars. For fictional money! This is why the mobile gaming industry is a big scam. They make a F2P game, but then they make their game so slow so that you basically need to buy the damn micro-transactions. What the fuck. Would you not rather pay for a good game than get a free one and buy extra shit to it. It's the same with DLC. They sell you parts of the game separate. One piece at a time. They make a shit ton of money because people want the entire game. It's all going tits-up! Piracy is becoming bigger and bigger all the time because people get tired of buying part of a game.
Before, games were good. They were robust, if you will. But now it's all manipulation. They manipulate you to buy more things. One example that sucks balls is the amazing game planet coaster. It was a little bit of DLC, which is fine. The problem is when the DLC items are in the normal item list, but when you click on them, you get taken to the steam store. There is no indication that they are DLC.
