Differences:
Prototype :
-> Prototype pattern refers to creating duplicate object while keeping performance in mind.
-> This type of design pattern comes under creational pattern as this pattern provides one of the best ways to create an object.
-> This pattern is used when creation of object directly is costly.
-> Prototype pattern creates new objects every time when needed by cloning current object.
-> The prototype pattern involves copying something that already exists.

Flyweight:
-> Flyweight pattern is primarily used to reduce the number of objects created.
-> This type of design pattern comes under structural pattern as this pattern provides ways to decrease object count thus improving the object structure of application
-> This pattern is used when we want to decrease memory footprint of object and increase performance.
-> Flyweight pattern tries to reuse already existing similar kind objects by storing them and creates new object when no matching object is found.
-> Flyweight pattern involves reusing something that already exists.



Example:
Flyweight:
To print the business card for an organization, Address is common for all employees. The things going to change is Name, Designation, Department, etc. So, Address object holds as a static property that used for all employees business cards to reduce the weight of business card object.

prototype:
In DNA lab, they have DNA Samples of more than one person. From which, they have to test Mitochondrial DNA Test and Peternity DNA Test. DNASample object should not get changed while doing one test. So, object will be cloned and sent for testing so that one testing will not affect result of another testing. Simply, object will not get changed but deep cloned for multipurpose.
Here, we cannot use flyweight pattern, as DNASample Object is not same for all patient. So rather than doing costly functions to create DNASample object each time, it's better to deeply clone and use it.
