so basically this kid named owen who is a trump supporter (so its already terrible) was being hella fucking racist. we were having a socratic seminar abt nfl players taking a knee during the ntl. anthem, and owen was like "its really disrespectful towards are flag" and everyone was like "its their choice and its not about the flag its about racism and police brutality" and then (im skipping thru a ton of stuff to get to the really bad parts) he said "we shouldnt be focusing on police brutality and racism because there are bigger problems, like cancer" and then everyone got hella fucking pissed at that and said that racism and police brutality are HUGE problems and then he said "racism is almost abolished in america anyways" LIKE NO IT FUCKING ISNT, and at this point our student teacher (i dont remember his name) walks out of the room bc hes so frusturated, and then johnathan benton brings up michael bennett, who if u dont know look it up bc im too lazy to explain, and owen p much blames the whole thing on michael bennett by saying "he shouldnt have been running away, thats why the police targeted him, it has nothing to do with race" WHEN EVERYONE WAS FUCKING RUNNING AWAY BECAUSE THERES A FUCKING SHOOTER??? LIKE ITS OBVIOUSLY A RACE THING! there is a ton more that i dont remember, but some ppl that were in the class that prolly remember more were ciara, james, illiana and johnathan.
